These are the Engine Panel Locks (the twist type) for the Vario BK 117. The locks are placed in various locations on the engine panels. The locks are non functional.
Each Engine Panel Locks set includes each of the parts shown in the image below. The set is offered as "raw castings" and "ready to be installed".
The "raw castings" of the Engine Panel Locks will need to be removed from the "raw casting". The whole set will require washing and it will contain some flashing which will need to be cleaned off. Each casting can be applied to the fuselage with CA or epoxy after the surface of both the model and the back of the casting have been lightly sanded.
The “ready to be installed” version will be cleaned, sanded, and will have two coats of primer paint added.
